Paremus Service Fabric - Runtime Patterns

Runtime patterns are templates based upon specific middleware and/or data services to enable the rapid development of new business systems. The following Service Fabric runtime patterns are currently available.

DDS Realtime Messaging

Used internally by the Paremus Service Fabric’s own sub-systems, the RTI/DDS messaging provides the highest levels of resilience and performance.

RTI DDS:

  • Is a loosely coupled and net-centric publish/subscribe communication architecture that replaces complex, stovepipe broker based middleware and brittle point-to-point integration.
  • Satisfies demanding real-time and mission-critical requirements that are well beyond the reach of traditional Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) implementations.
  • Provides a peer-to-peer foundation for a Real-Time Service Oriented Architecture (RT-SOA) that is high performance, embedded and completely decentralized.
  • Complies with OMG DDS and other popular standards including JMS and Web Services.

Realtime CEP Processing (available 2011)

Combining DDS publish/subscription messaging with high performance dynamically deployed CEP engines allows the Service Fabric to support elastic asynchronous processing pipelines for complex business workflows. Pipelines can be mirrored and self-repair under component failure, ensuring the highest possible levels of availability.

Hadoop Data Processing (available 2011)

Support for multiple islands of Hadoop based data processing. Each Hadoop instance is dynamically deployed when required and can be automatically retired once the batch processing has completed. As the Service Fabric understands the relationship between statefull services and their long term persisted-state, an existing Hadoop system can be removed and re-deployed at a later time and the Service Fabric will automatically re-provision the Hadoop system across the compute resources with the relevant data.
