“As OSGi has gained significant momentum over the last 12 months, including the announcement of its adoption by all of the Java Application Server vendors and many ESB vendors, we have seen a significant increase in interest and demand for our commercial and open source offerings” comments Mike Francis, Sales & Marketing Director, Paremus. “What has also became apparent is that the naming of our commercial product and open source project caused some confusion for our customers and the market in general, so we have decided to simplify our naming using the Paremus Service Fabric brand.”
Richard Nicholson, CEO, Paremus, commented that “We hope and expect that this aligning of our products under the single brand name makes it easier for people to understand the close relationship that exists between the freely available open source project that provides the foundations of our production ready, fully featured commercial product.”
It should be noted that the name changes have not altered the license models in any way and the Paremus Service Fabric Community Edition remains available under an AGPL open source license while the Paremus Service Fabric maintains its commercial annual subscription Right To Use (RTU) license. |
